Governor Soludo to Present Three-Year Scorecard to Ndi Anambra in the UK

In a continued effort to engage with citizens and showcase his administration's achievements, Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Charles Soludo, will meet with indigenes of the state residing in the United Kingdom on Monday, April 21, 2025.

The town hall meeting, scheduled to hold at 5 p.m. at the Saray Banqueting Suite, 54 The Market Square, London, N9 0TZ, will provide a platform for Governor Soludo to present a comprehensive report of his three years in office and interact directly with members of the Anambra diaspora community.

This engagement follows earlier successful town hall meetings held in Lagos and Abuja, where the governor received overwhelming support and endorsements from stakeholders for a second term ahead of the November 2025 gubernatorial election.

Governor Soludo is expected to highlight his administration’s strides in infrastructure, including extensive road construction projects and urban renewal efforts that have transformed slum areas into livable environments.

In education, his policies have enabled free schooling for students, the recruitment of qualified teachers, and the construction and renovation of numerous schools across the state. The healthcare sector has equally seen major progress with the renovation and equipping of general hospitals, provision of free healthcare services for pregnant women, and the expansion of primary healthcare delivery.

On security, the governor will spotlight the enactment of the Anambra Homeland Security Law, which led to the establishment of Agunechemba—a homegrown security outfit designed to support the state’s security architecture. He also launched the Operation Udo Ga-Achi initiative, deploying modern technology in crime prevention and control, leading to improved peace and security in the state.

Furthermore, the administration has invested in human capital development through innovative youth-focused schemes and digitisation of government operations to promote transparency and efficiency.

Governor Soludo, who was recently honoured with the Vanguard Newspaper Governor of the Year Award 2025, has also received multiple recognitions for his stellar leadership. These include The Sun Newspaper Governor of the Year 2024, Independent Newspaper Governor of the Year 2024 for urban renewal, and Best Performing Governor in Primary Healthcare Delivery in Nigeria for 2024 by the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) in collaboration with the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Aliko Dangote Foundation, UNICEF, and the Federal Ministry of Health.

During previous meetings, the governor encouraged Ndi Anambra in the diaspora to increase their investments in the state. “Anambra is rising, and together we can build it to rise higher. All I see is what is yet to be done, and I assure you, I will do more,” he affirmed.

Governor Soludo’s meeting in London is expected to further deepen engagement with Anambra citizens abroad and strengthen support for his developmental agenda.
