Aroyewun Commends AMA's Development Projects, Says Initiatives Reflect Purposeful Representation in Ikorodu Constituency II
The Executive Chairman of Igbogbo/Baiyeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Omo'ba Hammed Olalekan Aroyewun, has praised the developmental interventions of the lawmaker representing Ikorodu Constituency II in the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Aro Moshood Abiodun (AMA), describing his projects and empowerment programmes as evidence of purposeful, people-centred representation that is transforming communities across the constituency.
Speaking on Thursday while receiving a delegation from the AMA Smile Foundation and the Local Organising Committee (LOC) of the forthcoming AMA Unity Cup at the Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA Secretariat, Aroyewun said the legislator's impact extends beyond youth sports to infrastructure development, economic empowerment and community growth.
According to the council chairman, the AMA Unity Cup is another demonstration of Hon. Abiodun's commitment to youth engagement, but noted that the lawmaker has also executed several projects aimed at improving the living standards of residents.
He listed the Ultra-Modern Fish Processing and Preservation Centre in Ijede, ongoing drainage construction projects in Igbopa, Palm Avenue and Abule Eko/Powerline, as well as the rehabilitation of the Igbogbo/Bola Ahmed Tinubu/Igbe Laara Road, as key interventions addressing infrastructure deficits and boosting economic activities within Ikorodu Constituency II.
Aroyewun also highlighted the legislator's social intervention programmes, including the distribution of Point-of-Sale (POS) machines, financial support for unemployed constituents and the installation of electricity transformers in several communities.
He said the initiatives reflect a clear understanding of the developmental needs of the people and a sustained commitment to delivering projects with lasting impact.
The council boss appealed to community leaders, corporate organisations, development partners and other stakeholders to continue supporting programmes that promote sustainable development across the constituency.
He stressed that the continued growth of Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA and the wider Ikorodu Constituency II depends on collective efforts and shared responsibility among all stakeholders.
Aroyewun reaffirmed his administration's commitment to partnering with individuals and organisations whose programmes align with the council's vision of improving residents' quality of life through investments in infrastructure, youth development, education, healthcare and economic empowerment.
