IGP Disu Pays Homage to Oba of Benin, Visits Edo Police Command
The Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Rilwan Disu, has paid a working visit to the Edo State Police Command as part of efforts to strengthen policing operations and improve security across the state.
During the visit, the IGP paid a courtesy call on His Royal Majesty, Oba Ewuare II, at the royal palace in Benin City.
The visit highlighted the importance of collaboration between the Nigeria Police Force and traditional institutions in promoting peace, public safety, and community-driven security initiatives in Edo State.
The IGP’s engagement with the revered monarch also reaffirmed the commitment of the police leadership to fostering stronger ties with community stakeholders as part of broader strategies to tackle security challenges and enhance public confidence in policing.
The working visit to the Edo State Police Command formed part of ongoing nationwide consultations and operational assessments aimed at improving the effectiveness of law enforcement across the country.
