Glo Repackages Borrow Me Credit Service, Expands Emergency Airtime and Data Access

LAGOS – Telecommunications company, Globacom, has revamped its Borrow Me Credit service to provide prepaid subscribers with easier access to emergency airtime and data, while introducing new features aimed at enhancing customer connectivity.

The company announced the upgrade in a statement issued in Lagos, noting that the revised service framework simplifies eligibility requirements and broadens access for millions of customers who may experience low or exhausted airtime and data balances.

As part of the enhancement, Globacom introduced new options that enable subscribers to borrow special data bundles and purchase borrowed airtime or data for other users. The company said the features would allow customers to support family members, friends, and colleagues who require urgent communication services but are unable to recharge immediately.

According to Globacom, the service is designed to ensure that subscribers remain connected during emergencies, business engagements, academic activities, and other situations where uninterrupted communication is essential.

The telecom operator disclosed that eligible customers can access airtime and data credit ranging from N25 to N4,000, depending on their usage profile and engagement level on the network.

Globacom explained that borrowing limits are determined by customer activity and loyalty, with active subscribers qualifying for higher credit limits and larger data allocations over time.

The company added that the tiered borrowing structure is intended to reward customer loyalty while promoting sustainable service delivery, enabling subscribers to maintain seamless connectivity as their communication needs evolve.

Eligible prepaid customers can access the service by dialing *303# and selecting their preferred airtime or data option. The company advised subscribers to visit its website for further details on eligibility criteria, borrowing limits, and applicable service charges.
