APC South West Women Flag-Off: Remi Tinubu Promises ‘The Disgruntled’ Over Muslim-Muslim Ticket

Senator Oluremi Tinubu, the wife of the Presidential candidate of All Progressives Congress APC, yesterday asserted among other things at Onikan the venue for the APC South West Women Flag-Off that APC has set the tone for merit going forward that soonest, there would be a Christian-christian ticket candidate that would raise no eye brow during election.

Oluremi also stressed the merits and demerits of social media engagement at the rally. While giving her accounts of social media merit and demerit and consequences, she said;

“Social media is good, is good to seek for proper information. However, Information online can be doctored through emerging technologies. Before you conclude on what you see on social media, seek the truth. Don’t just conclude, she said.

Mr Sellable, Governor Sanwo-Olu who was also at the event along side his beautiful wife cheered the women up with his great sense of humour. While speaking, he said;

‘This is the first time in the history of our democracy that a presidential candidate will have a women’s campaign council working with the party. It goes to show that the Government of Tinubu will sit on the foundation of gender balance and inclusion. I am delighted to see our women organising and putting themselves forward, without watching from the back seats. Women have been on the frontline with us and you have come out to embrace this ticket. This is an assurance that we are on the right track.

“This campaign is not about the success of our party alone, it is also about our future and about the coming generations. When the Government of Tinubu and Shettima is formed, we will ensure that gender friendliness and equality are reflected on every programme of the administration with the youth and women. I commend Dr. Aisha Buhari, who initiated this idea and who has become the rallying point for women who care for the progress of our country. This movement is an evidence Mrs. Buhari is committed to this cause and she is leading from the front.” Sanwo-olu said.

The Honourable Commissioner for Women Affairs Lagos State, Mrs Cecilia Bolaji Dada while speaking with our reporter, advised the electorates to vote wisely come 2023 by voting the presidential candidate of APC during the election.

“This is Lagos, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is our father in lagos, so this is our project and that’s why we’ve all come out to celebrate our principals as he will be the next president of Nigeria come 2023.

“My advice to the electorates is that they should vote wisely, they should vote for APC come 2023”. Cecilia said.

In a separate interview with our reporter at the event, Hon. Kafilat Ogbara, the APC candidate representing Kosofe in the house of representatives implored Nigeria women to come out enmass come 2023 to vote for APC Presidential Candidate Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his running mate kasim Shettima.

In her words, she said; ” We have 79 days to go and we are counting on our women generally to canvass from door to door, house to house, market to market to preach the gospel of a new Nigeria to people ” Ogbara said

Princess Samiat Abolanle Bada, the Mayoress of Ikosi Isheri LCDA appreciates all Women in Nigeria who are in support of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, in her optimism during an interview with her at the event said said come 2023 Tinubu would emerge victorious.

Olu Remi and Nana Shettima thanked everybody for coming out today. In her appreciation remark, she said

“Mrs Shettima and I and are indeed very grateful, we want to thank you all for coming amidst all challenges”.
