Team Lagos debunks rumor of alleged attack on RTEAN members

Prior to the court of industry judgment on the committee of Lagos park and garage to withdrew his service on the road service and returned to status quo the cronies of the oba Oniba of iba , Dr Suliamon Adeshina are still harassing association that refused to comply with their directives ,RTEAN acting chairman alleged .

Therefore , members of the  Road Transport Employers Association of Nigeria (RTEAN) in Lagos State has urged Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu to call the caretaker committee to order in their mode of operation.

The union accused the committee, chaired by the Oniba of Iba, Oba Raji Adeshina, of terrorising its members.

Recall that Governor Sanwo-Olu disbanded the RTEAN and replaced it with a caretaker committee. However, the National Industrial Court, Lagos Division, ruled that the union be reinstated and its officials return to office. The court also gave an order restraining the caretaker committee from molesting, intimidating or harassing members of the RTEAN in the lawful discharge of their duties.

A statement by the Acting Chairman, Aransiola Qudus, accused the committee of consistently harassing, intimidating and molesting RTEAN members.

 The statement reads: “On June 16, one of our members, Azeez Gbalanga, was attacked and beaten. We reported this to the Ajangbadi Police Station and he was rushed to Badagry General hospital for treatment.

“This action is totally against all the content and context of the court judgement. We hope the commissioner of police will act to nip this nefarious acts of Oba Raji and his cohorts in the bud.”

But Oba Raji denied knowledge of the attack. According to him, the story he heard was that the RTEAN had internal squabbles about Team Lagos which probably escalated.

"I don’t know anything about the matter. I was at the State House on the said date to witness the swearing- in of one of our daughters as Secretary to the State Government. How would I, a monarch, be ordering thugs to beat up people who should naturally be my subjects? It doesn’t add up. RTEAN should go and settle its internal squabbles and leave me out of it he said.”

But a swift reaction from the association have called President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and the new Acting IGF to call , the monarch to order as our members are being beating and hospitalized , almost in point of death .

Hence , the leader of team Lagos     Comrade Tajudeen ogunlowo, alias APERIN TEAM LAGOS have debunked the allegations by the Rtean on oba Raji 

We went to Mr Olabode Ogunbade who is a driver with RTEAN , and also a member of team Lagos that have  stopped attending our meeting as a leader because we made Oba Raji as our patron , he was owing the group 1 million naira which we requested for but he refused to give it back to the group, so we went to his park to collect it before we were attacked and our boys repelled" 

Com Tajudeen was shocked over the allegations of  RTEAN on Oba Raji , that was not even aware of the issues of the group because they operate as a group, he therefore called on the public and commissioner of Police ,Lagos state to disregard any wrong allegations on the Oba of Iba sending team Lagos to harass and brutalized RTEAN drivers . 

The fight was not about conflict between Lagos state parks and Garages Administrator under Oniba Ekun and deformed RTEAN as claimed.
