Forum of Concerned Presidential Candidates, NRM, APGA, APP, ADP,  and others Congratulates Tinubu on his victory at the Presidential election tribunal judgement held in Abuja.

A group of Ex-Presidential candidates under the aegis of Forum of Concerned Presidential Candidates have congratulated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his Vice, Ibrahim Shettima on their victory at the presidential tribunal held  on Wednesday 6th Sept in Abuja.

The Presidential Election Tribunal ruled that the challenging opposition parties failed to prove claims of electoral malpractices against the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the February elections. The challenges came after President Tinubu of the APC had won 37% of total votes beating Atiku Abubakar of the PDP and Peter Obi of the Labour Party to secure the presidency.

Atiku and Obi had asked the court to invalidate the election alleging irregularities but the petitions were declared unmeritorious by the tribunal.

The Forum of Concerned Presidential Candidates who are members of NRM, APGA, APP, ADP, and others led by the Presidential Candidate of the NRM, Rev. Felix Osakwe had refused to challenge the elections in court citing that it was a fair, peaceful and acceptable process.

Recall that on Thursday, August 31, 2023, the group paid a courtesy visit to the APC National Chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje to felicitate with him and seek for inclusion in the President Tinubu administration.

Reacting to the Tribunal ruling,  Rev. Osakwe opine that it is a victory for all Nigerians and also called on all aggrieved parties to sheath their swords for national peace and unity in order to allow President Tinubu focus on the the work of redirecting our great nation to the paths of progress and prosperity which is the Renewed Hope Nigerians earnestly yearn for.
