WHEN SILENCE IS NO LONGER GOLDEN; MY UGLY EXPERIENCE WITH MR. LUCKY AIYEDATIWA, EMBATTLED DEPUTY GOVERNOR OF ONDO STATE

I have read disturbing & conflicting reports about Mr. Lucky Aiyedatiwa, the embattled Deputy Governor of Ondo State and the most recent report, if true, is not only disgusting but disturbing, wicked and satanic. 

You might want to have a read of my personal encounter with Mr. Lucky on this fateful day after the Inauguration of the Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu Aketi ,SAN. 

Just after the Inauguration, we all got invite to Mr. Governor's after party held in Owo his home country. Unfortunately, I couldn't turn up the scheduled time, but decided to go after much persuasion(forgive me, I am incurably bad with social gathering, especially when flooded with diverse groups of people holding common views but different intentions). On getting to Owo in the most awkward manner, I drove in, and stepped out of the car. It was the Deputy Governor, Mr. Lucky I saw almost leaving the Aketis' compound. I quickly rushed to introduce myself and politely asked if Mr.Governor would be available to see people since it was barely late around 8/9PM and I was there on invitation. 

In the most horrible manner, I got this reaction from Mr Lucky, Pointing directly at me,"what stupid questions are you asking me- how's that my business, nonsense" were his words. Oh, my gosh! It was the most terrible experience I ever had in a long time. Not one word from me, I quickly returned into my car with mind blowing questions; what could warrant these outbursts, I pondered very hard and didn't find good answers. How do I share this? Who will believe my story since Mr Lucky appears to be the toast at the time.

I endured this embarrassing situation, and told  myself never again would anything bring me closer Mr. Lucky. For I have never seen a thing like this. A government I worked for and he must have seen many of my write up, especially those published on the pages of newspaper-that people, including Hon. Donald Ojogo acknowledged. What exactly inspired this ugly reaction from Mr. Lucky who's a beneficiary of our collective support for Mr.Governor's reelection. Not even the terrible accident I suffered?. I shudder, I marveled but in all of these was my calm & cool. I refused to share this experience with anyone until now. 

However, I knew it would some day play out. That, only men of candour, comportment and humility are deserving of public office. After all, I wasn't approaching Mr. Lucky for anything(favour) other than seek information about meeting the Governor. I worked for the same committee for Inauguration and by extension, enjoyed the invitation to felicitate with the First family but it all turned out sad and devastating with that encounter. 

While I still refrain making opinion, whether or, not the moves against his impeachment is justified, I decided to share my experience in line with my belief and for Public interest so that posterity might judge me rightly if I maintain silence and vehemently remain indifferent. 

I equally read, in part, through reports, that Mr. Lucky wasn't expecting the return of his principal anymore and had arrogated so much power within the period he acted as Governor, holding nocturnal meetings and making attempts to usurp the principal whom I understand was on medical vacation. And that, in furtherance of shinenegans, boastfully sanctioned Mr. Rasaq Obe to Deputise his imaginary emergence as Governor?. While this, is, unverified, I have also read a couple of articles alleging the Deputy Governor of insubordination, disloyalty and flagrant attempt to usurp the principal. How desperate, if true!

If these actions were purportedly orchestrated within the period of Aketi's medical vacation, I think it is not only ungodly, but wicked. Unfortunately, politicians think differently and sometimes, without conscience, but this is my own experience with Mr. Lucky, the embattled Deputy Governor of Ondo state and I felt really bad, but I moved on.
