Hon. Olufemi Onisarotu is a certified Scrum Master and  Data Analyst with experience in civil engineering and a wide range of technologies. 

A dedicated professional and project manager with excellent work ethics and experience which began in his NYSC year in 2007/2008, when he was attached to the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development (Federal Roads Maintenance Agency FERMA) Umuahia, Abia State, where he supervised and helped in the maintenance and repairs of several federal roads in that state.

That early stint in public facility maintenance apparently opened his eyes to the challenges in the nation's public administration, causing him to, on his return to base in Lagos, venture into politics. Consequently, he was elected as councilor, Ward B, Somolu Local Government. 

He was councilor between 2008 and 2014, after which he began a career in private practice, starting with Amazon Web Services, USA in 2014, as a Scrum Master; coaching stakeholders and business sponsors on better prioritisation methods such as Minimum Viable product (MVP) and how to tactfully and professionally communicate difficult and sensitive information, using soft skills and empathy.

He also facilitated smooth collaboration between teams and other teams as needed during programme increment, planning breakout with other teams that will share dependencies, story mapping and programme risk.

In June, 2017, he moved over to Dove Tax Incorporated, Raleigh, North Caroiina, USA, where he continued in his familiar terrain, facilitating team's planning and tracking activities, while also coaching in Agile principles.

At Dove Tax, he devised a 10-page plans and Agile charter and coordinate backlog refinement with product owners to resolve blocking challenges.

He also employed the use of key scrum metrics (burndown, velocity) to help deliver committed works.

Onisarotu is a project manager who understands both conventional process and the Agile methodology, with skills in Construction Project Manager skills, Business Intelligence, Industrial Knowledge, Complex Problem Solving, Organization , Critical Thinking, Flexible Planning, Agile Mindset, Growth Mindset, Adaptability and Communication - all vital ingredients for effective management of private and public establishments in today's world.

Although based in the United States of America, Onisarotu has maintained constant link with home, regularly visiting, even setting up businesses, including Saro Lounge & Suites, a hospitality business in Ibadan, Oyo State.

He also engages in regular charity and empowerment in Nigeria, one of which he would be carrying out this December, when he visits again.

Onisarotu, in the coming days, plans to return to Nigerian politics, Somolu specifically, where he started off from. This is so that he can better impact positively on a greater number of people in line with what obtains overseas.

*EDUCATION*

He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from The Polytechnic, Ibadan (2006); a Post-Graduate diploma from the Federal University of Technology, Akure, Ondo State (2011); a Master of Information Science from the North Carolina Central University, Durham North Carolina (2021) and another Masters degree in Business Administration (with specialty in Real Estate) from the same North Carolina Central University (2023).

Additionally, he is a certified  Scrum Master and Business Analytics with Excel.

Onisarotu also has several awards to his credit, notably: Impact Award by the Polytechnic Ibadan Student Union as Outstanding Ambassador of the institution (2009); Outstanding Leadership Award by the National Union of Lagos State Students (NULASS) National Body (2006) and Award of Meritorious Service of Excellence by the Association of Civil Engineering Students (ACES), The Polytechnic Ibadan Chapter.

With compassion, love, and care when he was the councilor representing the ward 'D' Hon. Onisarotu Olufemi has mustered all within his resources for the realization of his noble role to take the APC and the people of Somolu Local Government, his immediate constituency to the next level. He has through his numerous programs proven that the flow of his human kindness is ceaseless, from the laudable empowerment programs and projects influenced or sponsored by him, for the promotion of All Progressives Congress(APC) and the generality of Somolu Local Government,  Hon. Onisarotu has administered adequate doses of his ceaseless resources to improve on their living conditions. Little wonder he is highly respected in his party, APC, amidst colleagues from other political parties, and referred to as 'Man of Many Parts' in many circles.       

During his tenure as a councilor, being a very positive person, he does not believe in counting losses as according to him, "Our losses are still our grains because we fall to rise again" 

So far in his philanthropic support to the good people of Somolu Local Government, Hon. Onisarotu, gave out motorcycles, and sewing machines to fashion designers, and he bought phones, umbrellas, and credit cards for businessmen and women. He also gave out 5 crates of minerals, and ten bags of pure water to his people to start up a business. 

In the area of Education, Hon. Onisarotu also recorded a spectacular feat with the distribution of free GCE forms to indigent students. 

In his areas of purposeful leadership contributions; he changed the phase of the party secretariat that had been abandoned for some years into a beautiful edifice. 

A good number of humanitarian supports were also rendered by Hon. Onisarotu Olufemi for him to have done all these empowerment programs when he was a councilor, which shows, he can do much better when he becomes the chairman of Somolu Local Government
