Yoruba Council Calls For Declaration of State of Emergency In Plateau State
....Condemned The Ongoing Mass Killings In Shere Town of Plateau State.

It has become an abysmal and unmitigated perennial arbitrary menace of mass destructions of lives and properties led by some notorious jihadist terrorists whose trademark is merciless sorrows, tears; and are currently on a killing spree and bloodletting mission in Plateau State.

We are aghast and disturbed by this heinous and barbaric murderous escapades, while we condoles with the people of Plateau State, particularly the families of the victims.

Regrettably, it is heartbreaking and barbaric to see how humans lives; mothers, fathers, youths and helpless and hapless children are miserably cut short with sophisticated weapons and matcheted in coldblood in their native land.

The Yoruba Council Worldwide condemns this evil in totality, precipitating our clarion call to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for swift and active response and as well the attention for resolution of the National  Assembly to activate Section 305(1) of the Constitution for proclamation of State of Emergency against  the terrorist marauders, in order to frontally quell the crises,  while a three days advance warning notice be issued to all persons to submit and mop-up all arms and ammunition in circulation and their possessions to the nearest police station,  after which a shoot aside be effected simultaneously  against  anyone  or groups in Plateau  State.

We call for a thorough investigation into the incident and demand those behind these heinous attacks be brought to book and face the full wrath of the law.

We call on the good people of Plateau State and Nigeria at large to be security conscious and raise alarm to alert the security agencies on  blackspots and give valuable information as at when due.

Signed: Aare Oladotun Hassan Esq, President, Yoruba Council Worldwide.
