Director of the UN on HIV/AIDS Programme meets with Senator Oluremi Tinubu in a historic show of solidarity

From left:  Ms Winnie Byanyima, Executive Director of the United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS, UNAIDS and Her Excellency Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, when the former paid a visit to the First Lady in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia on the side lines of the 28th General Assembly of the Organization of African First Ladies for Development, OAFLD. 

The meeting between the two leaders highlights the ongoing efforts to combat HIV/AIDS and its impact on communities around the world.

They both discussed issues bordering on the prevalence of Infant HIV/AIDS, the campaign against Mother to Child Transmission of HIV/AIDS, addressing Tuberculosis amongst others. The First Lady reiterated her readiness to do all she can to help bring the statistics to the bearest minimum in Nigeria.
