Ondo Lovers Demand Immediate Action Against Cult Symbolism in Political Campaigns

In response to the recent press release by the Lucky Aiyedatiwa Campaign Organisation Foot Soldiers (LACO-FS), we, the lover of  Ondo State, condemn the blatant disregard for public safety and the promotion of cult symbolism under the guise of political campaigning.

While LACO-FS claims innocence in association with cultism, it cannot be overlooked that the red berets worn by their members bear a striking resemblance to the symbolic attire of the Supreme Vikings Confraternity, also known as Arobaggers, a notorious cult group known for violence and criminal activities.

Numerous incidents have been reported where individuals wearing similar colors have been brutalized by members of this cult group for "flying their colors." The mere sight of individuals adorned in these red berets instills fear and apprehension among the populace, potentially leading to a state of unrest.

Furthermore, it is alarming that the logo of LACO-FS prominently features men armed with guns, further perpetuating a culture of violence and intimidation rather than fostering an environment of peace and democracy.

In light of these disturbing revelations, we urge the Nigerian Police Force, the National Security Adviser, the Department of State Security Services, and other relevant authorities to intervene immediately. We will be formally submitting requests for assistance to restore public confidence and ensure the safety of all citizens.

It is imperative that Governor Lucky Orimisan Ayedatiwa takes swift and decisive action to address these concerns and disassociate his campaign from any form of cultism or violence. Failure to do so not only undermines the democratic process but also endangers the lives and well-being of the people of Ondo State.

We call for an immediate cessation of the use of the red berets associated with cult symbolism by LACO-FS and any other political entities. The safety and security of our citizens must remain paramount, and the promotion of peace and unity should be the cornerstone of any political campaign.
