KWANKWASIA MOVEMENT IS NOT A REGISTERED POLITICAL PARTY IN NIGERIA
KWANKWASIA MOVEMENT IS NOT A REGISTERED POLITICAL PARTY IN NIGERIA
The just concluded national convention of the kwankwasia movement under the leadership of Senator Rabiu Musa kwankwaso which was beamed live today at morning belt in Abuja, 6th of April 2024 on Arise Television no doubt have confused some members of the public as if it is the national convention of the
New Nigeria People's Party (NNPP).
Members of the public and the Nigeria political stakeholders are to note that Senator kwankwaso, Elder Buba Galadima, the entire members of the defunct national working committee and some state executive chairmen of the party that attended the event have since being expelled from the New Nigeria People's Party. They are no longer members of NNPP.
The Governor of Kano state Alhaji Abbah Kabir Yusuf, the Deputy Gov, the speaker of the Kano state House of Assembly, the Senators and the federal House members duly elected under the canopy of New Nigeria People's Party are hereby called to order.
Whereas Nigerians under the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria are permitted to freely associate and belong to groups of their choices, the activities of the above mentioned elected members of the New Nigeria People's Party may be construed as a gross misconduct to the life of the party.
For the avoidance of doubts and clarity sake the memo of understanding between the party and senator Kwankwaso led kwankwasia movement was just to provide senator kwankwaso an opportunity to contest the president of Nigeria 2023 and it was done at no cost. That understanding is over thereafter he lost the election to Senator Bola Ahmed TINUBU of APC.
If senator Kwankwaso is a civilised person and has the interest of Nigerians at heart other than other avoidable circumstances he should have quietly submitted himself for a review of the document or gone with his kwankwasia group like the national movement (TNM) led by Professor Alkali Ahmed and Professor Sam Angwe who are now with All Progressive Congress.
Regret to note that the conduct of senator Kwankwaso is becoming a shame to the entire northern Nigeria and Kano state in particular. To transmute kwankwasia movement to New Nigeria People's Party from the back door is as good as stating the obvious that a psychiatric doctor's attention may be required. This is a dream that is heavily unachievable in such a despicable manner.
Taking this conversation to the public court, one can therefore ask the following questions:
What stops senator Kwankwaso from registering another political party?. At least we can forgive him for having registered one in the past which was de-registered on account of inability to win at least a state assembly seat as specified in the constitution.
His inordinate but unachievable agenda of taking over NNPP runs contrary to the "Amana" thrust of his organisation which he proclaims. Amana means "trust", the question then is where is the trust looking at his conduct based on the premise with which he got the platform without any emcumbrances?. Can the conduct of senator kwankwaso at the moment ever be trusted?.
Why must senator Kwankwaso do things against the rule of law, order and constitutionality?. Does ìt mean that senator kwankwaso do not know that when a matter is before a court, every party must remain silent and quiet pending the determination of the substantive suit?. Meaning that parties must exercise restraint not to do anything that may become contemptuous and or destroy the case.
We urge Nigerians to please ask senator Kwankwaso; where is the certificate of registration of the New Nigeria People's Party?, despite this unanswered question senator Kwankwaso is busy gathering innocent Nigerians and deceiving them by publicly amending the constitution of the party and even changing the logo despite the existence of several cases in court against him and and his Kwankwasia movement.
What we can at this point tell all members of our great party and indeed Nigerians to remain calm, law abiding and go about our normal party businesses peacefully. We also ask for prayers in favour of our brother senator kwankwaso and all other persons following him ignorantly that the mercy of God shall come upon them.
Meanwhile what is certain is that there is a constituted and legitimate government in Nigeria and that we are not in a banana Republic. It is also important to note that whatever is going on at the moment is being followed by the government. We call on the government to keep an eye and take stock of developments as the issues in question are capable of causing huge security breach.
On the part of the Judiciary, it is our belief that at the appropriate time justice shall be served and as law abiding people, we eagerly await that day.
Godbless everyone
Comrade Sunday Oginni
Nat Secretary NNPP Hqrs
