Oke-Ira Grammar School Alumni from 2002 Cohort Gives Back to Alma mater

The alumni from the 2002 graduating class of Oke-Ira Grammar School, now known as Oke-Ira Senior Grammar School, revisited their alma mater as a gesture of gratitude and support. Founded in 1980, the school, situated under Ikeja Local Government, Ojodu LCDA, Lagos, has been a cornerstone of education in the community.

Led by Honorable Lanre Fatuyi, the alumni expressed their commitment to giving back to the institution that shaped their formative years. Stressing the importance of education, they provided essential learning materials such as notebooks, whiteboards, and mathematical sets to both the Senior and Junior schools.

The principals of both schools, Mrs. Aina and Mr. Olutoto, extended their heartfelt appreciation for the alumni's generosity. Mr. Olutoto commended the students' academic achievements and expressed gratitude for the timely provision of much-needed resources, including whiteboards, which were previously a challenge to acquire.

During the visit, the alumni encouraged current students to prioritize education above all else, highlighting the significance of academic excellence in shaping their future. They pledged ongoing support to the school, promising to fulfill additional requests, including the provision of a Bluetooth sound system and other essentials identified by the school management.

Representatives of the alumni present during the visit included Honorable Lanre Fatuyi, Prophet Matthew Oni, Bishop Segun Odejayi, Olori Adebisi Akintunde, Mrs. Bosede Juliet Adebayo, Mrs. Ajibade Fatimo, Mrs. Aminat Adebayo, Mrs. Bukola Adebayo, Mr. Kamaldeen Oladele, Mr. Oluwaseun Adeyeye, Mr. Foyinke Oluwaseyi, Mrs. Olaide Tajudeen, Honorable Fola Sonola, Mr. Tunde Ademola Benua, Mrs. Fausat Kareem, Hajia Alimi Tawakalitu, Miss Tom Blessing, Mr. Samson Akinwale, and Mrs. Maryam Tajudeen.

The visit concluded with a commitment from the alumni to maintain regular communication with the school management, fostering a supportive relationship aimed at promoting academic success for current and future students.
