LAGOS – In a formal handover ceremony on Friday, May 31, 2024, Comptroller JE Edelduok took over as the new Customs Area Controller of the Kirikiri Lighter Terminal (KLT) Area Command. Edelduok succeeds Acting Assistant Comptroller General (ACG) MM Tilley-Gyado, who has been appointed to her new role.

During the handover, Acting ACG Tilley-Gyado praised Edelduok as a capable leader poised to elevate the Command. Reflecting on her tenure, Tilley-Gyado highlighted significant accomplishments, including a notable revenue increase. "From January to May 2024, we generated N36.6 billion, a 55% increase from the N16 billion in the same period in 2023," she stated. Under her leadership, the KLT Command expanded operations and transformed from a simple export transit hub into a fully operational Export Processing Terminal (EPT).
Tilley-Gyado expressed gratitude to the Comptroller General of Customs and his team for their support, and extended thanks to stakeholders and sister agencies for their cooperation. She called on them to continue their support for Edelduok.

"I look forward to a robust working relationship with our stakeholders and invite everyone to share ideas on how we can advance the Command," Edelduok said. She also pledged to maintain an open-door policy, encouraging ongoing dialogue and suggestions.
Edelduok concluded by thanking the Comptroller General and his management team for entrusting her with the leadership of KLT, vowing to serve with dedication and humility.
