Customs Apapa Command Joins Forces in Walk Against Drugs

Apapa, Lagos - Tuesday, June 25, 2024** - The Comptroller of Customs Apapa Command, Dr. Babatunde Olomu PhD fsi, has taken a significant step towards strengthening collaboration with sister agencies by participating in the "Walk Against Drugs" event. This initiative is in commemoration of the 2024 International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Drug Trafficking. 

The event saw the Customs Area Controller (CAC) joining hands with the Commander of the NDLEA Apapa Special Area Command and various other government agencies operating in the port. The aim was to raise awareness about the dangers of drug abuse and illicit drug trafficking, emphasizing the need for a unified approach in tackling these issues.

Dr. Olomu highlighted the importance of such inter-agency collaborations, stating, "The cooperation between sister agencies of government is crucial for intelligence sharing and ensuring public safety." He underscored that working together allows security agencies to achieve greater success in their missions and better protect their communities than they could individually.
