NAOSNP Congratulates Patron, Monday Ubani on SAN Elevation; Urges Continued Dedication to Good Works
The National Association of Online Security News Publishers (NAOSNP) has extended heartfelt congratulations to its esteemed Patron, Barr. Dr. Monday Onyekachi Ubani, on his recent elevation to the prestigious rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN). Dr. Ubani, a distinguished legal expert and advocate for constitutional rights, was honored alongside 86 others in the latest batch of SAN recipients. The swearing-in ceremony for the new SANs is scheduled for Monday, September 30, 2024.
Affectionately known as "MOU," Dr. Ubani is recognized for his extensive contributions to philanthropy, public advocacy, and the provision of pro bono legal services to numerous Nigerians. His work in these areas, coupled with his media-friendly demeanor, has earned him widespread respect and admiration in both the legal profession and the broader community.
In a statement celebrating Dr. Ubani’s elevation, Comrade Oki O. Samson, National President of NAOSNP, expressed delight at the long-awaited recognition. "We heartily rejoice with our Patron, a patriotic Nigerian and legal luminary, Dr. Monday Onyekachi Ubani, on his attainment of the prestigious status of Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN). This honor is long overdue, and we are glad it has finally been bestowed upon him."
Highlighting Dr. Ubani’s exemplary career, Comrade Samson noted his significant contributions to the Nigerian legal system. "Dr. Ubani is an icon in the legal profession, having served as the second National Vice President of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), former Chairman of NBA-SPIDEL, and former Chairman of the NBA Ikeja branch. His public advocacy, rights education through various media platforms, and pro bono legal services have positively impacted countless Nigerians. Moreover, his support for healthcare, education, and other social initiatives has greatly improved the lives of many."
As a cultural ambassador and devout Christian, Dr. Ubani’s dedication to promoting quality African customs and values is equally noteworthy. Reflecting on his many achievements, Comrade Samson encouraged Dr. Ubani to continue being a beacon of light. "As we celebrate, we urge our Patron, who has been a special guest speaker at NAOSNP’s National Security Conference and various Media Workshops, to remain deeply involved in good works. The Legal Practitioners Privileges Committee (LPPC), in its press statement, affirmed that the rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) is awarded as a mark of excellence to members of the legal profession who have distinguished themselves as advocates and academics.
