Prophet Godwin Ikuru Calls for Arrest of Prosper Edewhosa Over Alleged Fraud

Prophet Godwin Ikuru of Jehovah Eye Salvation Ministry has publicly condemned Prosper Edewhosa, a former employee of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), for allegedly issuing a dud cheque and evading arrest. Edewhosa is accused of borrowing ₦148,600,000 from Ikuru’s associate, Godwin Boi, and subsequently refusing to repay the debt.

According to Prophet Ikuru, Edewhosa has gone to great lengths to avoid accountability, including relocating from his previous residence and evading police attempts to apprehend him. The prophet revealed that when police tracked Edewhosa’s phone to his new apartment in Apapa, Lagos, he was not at home, prompting officers to take his daughters as leverage, instructing him to report to the police at Alagbon the next day. Instead of complying, Edewhosa allegedly sent his lawyer, who successfully secured the release of his daughters.

Further police efforts to locate Edewhosa have been unsuccessful, as he reportedly vacated his residence and switched off both his and his wife’s phones. Prophet Ikuru described Edewhosa as a "crafty criminal" and urged the Nigerian police to intensify their efforts to apprehend him. He also accused Edewhosa of using hoodlums to prevent Godwin Boi from taking possession of a shopping mall in Uyo that was used as collateral for the loan.

Prophet Ikuru’s call for justice highlights the growing concern over financial fraud and the need for strict enforcement of the law in Nigeria.
