Sanwo-Olu Opens New Channels for Youth Engagement as Lagos Protests End
The Lagos State Government has commended protesters for their peaceful conduct and decision to end their demonstrations, following President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's address earlier today.

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu expressed his gratitude to the protest leaders, stating: "Your decision to stop the protest today clearly shows that you believe your voices have been heard by the government. Your actions are not only noble but also the civilized thing to do."

Governor Sanwo-Olu emphasized the state’s commitment to ongoing dialogue with the youth, directing that the engagement initiated before the protests must continue. He has instructed the Ministry of Youth and Social Development, the Ministry of Information and Strategy, and the Office of Civic Engagement to broaden their channels of communication with various stakeholders, including the protest leaders.

The designated Citizens Access Lines for these ministries are:
- Office of Civic Engagement: +234 802 522 4347
- Ministry of Information & Strategy: +234 811 965 788
- Ministry of Youth & Social Development: +234 707 717 8295

The Governor also urged citizens to remain vigilant against those who might attempt to sow division through fake news and rumors. He reiterated that Lagosians should reject war mongering, scare mongering, and rumor mongering, as it is not reflective of their values.

Governor Sanwo-Olu lauded the professional conduct of all security agencies, including the Police Command, Department of State Services, the military, Civil Defence, and Neighborhood Watch. He also acknowledged the contributions of traditional rulers, civil society organizations, community leaders, religious leaders, student leaders, and others in maintaining peace in Lagos.

He encouraged Lagosians to continue their daily activities without fear.
