Senator Ibrahim Gaidam, Nigeria’s Minister of Police Affairs, met with Turkey's Deputy Minister of Interior, Mr. Munis Kara Lolo, at the ongoing Homeland Security Equipment Exhibition in Ankara. The event, held at the ATO Congresium Convention and Exhibition Centre from September 19 to 21, 2024, provides a platform for nations to explore advancements in security technology.

The Nigerian delegation, which included Mr. Ibrahim Muhammad, Director of the Police Services Department, was invited by the Turkish government to inspect cutting-edge security solutions aimed at enhancing national safety and law enforcement capabilities. The exhibition showcased a wide range of advanced equipment, including surveillance systems, drones, and tactical vehicles, all designed to improve homeland security.

During their meeting, Senator Gaidam and Deputy Minister Kara Lolo discussed strengthening bilateral cooperation in security, focusing on technology transfer, training, and intelligence-sharing. This collaboration aims to bolster Nigeria’s internal security measures by leveraging Turkey's expertise and innovation in homeland security technology.
