Awoyaya, Lagos — The Executive Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government, Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa, has pledged to initiate immediate repairs and maintenance at the Awoyaya Primary Health Centre (PHC). During a working visit to the facility on Monday, October 7, 2024, Hon. Olowa conducted a thorough inspection of the hospital's infrastructure, accompanied by key local government officials, including the Supervisor for Works and Infrastructure, Hon. Mutiu Saheed, Supervisor for Health, Hon. Tajudeen Sindiku Oniwonlu, and Supervisor for Special Duties, Hon. (Prince) Ajibola Elemoro.
The inspection covered various areas of the facility, including the reception, labour room, emergency center, pharmacy, and patient wards. Hon. Olowa noted that the hospital requires significant upgrades, including new medical equipment, furniture, and civil repairs. In response, he committed to ensuring that the necessary repairs and maintenance work would begin immediately.

Furthermore, Hon. Olowa discussed the possibility of establishing a larger medical facility in Awoyaya to accommodate the area's growing population, addressing the increasing demand for healthcare services.
The Chairman was warmly received by political figures and prominent community leaders, including Hon. Idowu Eletu, former member of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Aliasau Eletu, the All Progressives Congress (APC) LGA Chairman, and Chief Ogunlana, the Baale of Awoyaya.
