NDDC Seeks Collaboration with First Lady Oluremi Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Initiative

The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) is exploring a strategic partnership with the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI), an empowerment program led by Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu. This collaboration aims to broaden the scope of development and empowerment projects in the Niger Delta region.
Dr. Samuel Ogbuku, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the NDDC, revealed this plan following a meeting with the First Lady. He noted that the commission is eager to join forces with the RHI after observing the numerous impactful projects initiated by the First Lady's program, which primarily benefit women and youth across the country.
“We have been impressed by the remarkable work of the Renewed Hope Initiative and believe it aligns with our mission. Our partnership will cover various areas, including healthcare and education. For example, the next phase of our medical outreach will see a collaboration between RHI and NDDC,” Dr. Ogbuku said.
He further explained that the NDDC's Youth Internship Scheme, which focuses on job creation and women's empowerment, along with the distribution of educational tools, will be integrated into the partnership with RHI.
“Our teams will soon meet to expand on these areas of collaboration,” he added.
This strategic alliance is expected to bring significant benefits to women and youth in the Niger Delta region, expanding opportunities for development and empowerment in various sectors.
