Pernod Ricard Nigeria Shines at Lagos Cocktail Week, Promotes Responsible Drinking
Pernod Ricard Nigeria, a subsidiary of the global wine and spirits giant Pernod Ricard Group, made a remarkable impact at the 2024 Lagos Cocktail Week by showcasing three of its premium brands—Absolut Vodka, Olmeca Tequila, and Chivas Regal. The event, which ran from October 11th to 18th, celebrated innovation, culture, and passion, providing cocktail enthusiasts with exceptional experiences.

Themed "Innovation, Culture, and Passion," this year’s Lagos Cocktail Week featured signature cocktails, including creations from the iconic Chivas XV. Highlights included the introduction of Absolut Watermelon, the latest addition to the Absolut Vodka portfolio, which was paired with a lively sip-and-paint session at the Absolut booth. Pernod Ricard also hosted a special one-hour showcase, featuring Olmeca Tequila.

One of the standout moments of the week was the Chivas Regal Bar Battle, where talented mixologists demonstrated their skills. Joshua Alabi emerged as the winner, securing a prestigious Wine and Spirit Education Trust (WSET) scholarship and a cash prize of N300,000.

Evane Chenuet, Marketing Director of Pernod Ricard Nigeria, expressed excitement about the company’s participation in the 2024 Lagos Cocktail Week, emphasizing the alignment of the event with Pernod Ricard’s core values of creativity, innovation, and conviviality. Chenuet noted, “We took our consumers on a journey to discover the world of Absolut Vodka, Olmeca Tequila, and Chivas Regal. We are proud to support Nigeria’s growing cocktail culture by providing education and premium experiences that reflect our consumers’ evolving tastes.”

Pernod Ricard Nigeria also reinforced its commitment to promoting responsible drinking with its 'Drink More Water' campaign. Launched in 2021, the campaign addresses the issue of binge drinking among young adults. At this year’s event, the company continued its efforts by distributing water and promoting responsible drinking messages.

The 2024 Lagos Cocktail Week marked a significant milestone as it celebrated its 10th anniversary, further solidifying its place as a key event in Nigeria's cocktail culture scene.
