Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa Honored as "Atunluse of Ibeju Kingdom" at Royal Celebration
Ibeju-Agbe was abuzz with celebration yesterday as dignitaries and well-wishers gathered to mark the second anniversary of Oba Rasaq Waliu Olasunkanmi Oguntolu’s reign as the traditional ruler of Ibeju Kingdom. Among the day's highlights, His Royal Majesty, Oba Oguntolu, conferred the prestigious title of "Atunluse of Ibeju Kingdom" upon Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa, the Executive Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government, in recognition of his contributions to the community.
The grand event was attended by prominent figures, including Hon. Adebayo Balogun, Member of the Federal House of Representatives; Hon. Mojeed Adebola Fatai, Vice Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government; Hon. Isiaka Yusuf Olatunji; and Hon. Adewale Adebanjo, Secretary to the Local Government, along with many other distinguished guests.
In his acceptance speech, Hon. Olowa expressed his deep respect for the cultural heritage of Ibeju Kingdom and commended Oba Oguntolu for his role in uniting the community. He pledged to honor the title by promoting initiatives that would improve the quality of life for residents and continue the legacy of progress for Ibeju Kingdom.
Also in attendance were Hon. Aliasau Oladehinde, Special Adviser on Chieftaincy and Inter-boundary Affairs; Hon. Adekunle Suraka; traditional rulers; political leaders; business executives; and numerous dignitaries, underscoring the significance of the occasion.
The event, marked by colorful cultural displays and heartfelt speeches, was a testament to the strength and unity of Ibeju Kingdom under the leadership of Oba Oguntolu.
