Epe Division Renaissance Initiative Holds AGM, Hon. Olowa Delivers Leadership Lecture

The Epe Division Renaissance Initiative (EDRIN) recently held its Annual General Meeting (AGM), which featured a one-day retreat focused on leadership accountability and effective retirement planning.

The highlight of the event was a keynote lecture delivered by the Executive Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government, Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa, titled "Political Stewardship: A Front Row Leadership in Governance." Hon. Olowa explored essential leadership principles such as ethical governance, inclusive decision-making, collaboration, and partnership, describing these as the hallmarks of exemplary leadership.

In his address, Hon. Olowa underscored the importance of cultivating trust, fostering transparency, and building a shared vision for community development. "These qualities are indispensable for sustainable progress and long-term stability," he said, urging leaders to embrace these values to drive meaningful change.

Another key session was led by Mr. Dayo Quadri, who provided practical insights into investment opportunities tailored for retirement planning. Mr. Quadri emphasized the importance of adaptability and preparedness in post-retirement life while highlighting strategies to ensure the continuity of impactful governance beyond active service.

The retreat served as a platform for dialogue, collaboration, and knowledge-sharing among leaders from the Epe Division. Participants engaged in discussions aimed at addressing the developmental priorities of the region, with a collective call for enhanced partnerships to accelerate progress.
