Ibeju-Lekki Chairman, Senator Abiru Inspect Progress of SAIL Innovation Hub and Sports Center
The Executive Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government, Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa, yesterday joined the Senator representing Lagos East Senatorial District, Distinguished Senator Mikhail Adetokunbo Abiru, to assess the ongoing development of the SAIL Innovation Hub and Sports Center in Ibeju-Lekki.
The inspection was graced by prominent stakeholders, including His Excellency, Chief Bode Oyedele; Mr. Wahid Enitan Oshodi, President of the African Table Tennis Federation and Executive Vice President of the International Table Tennis Federation; and Hon. Bayo Balogun, Member of the House of Representatives for Ibeju-Lekki Federal Constituency.
As part of the visit, the delegation paid a courtesy call to the Palace of the Onimedu of Orimedu, where they engaged with traditional leaders and sought their support for the projects aimed at transforming the community.
The SAIL Innovation Hub and Sports Center are envisioned as landmarks of progress, promising to drive innovation, empower youths, and foster development in Ibeju-Lekki. Upon completion, the facilities are expected to provide opportunities for skill acquisition, entrepreneurship, and sports development, contributing significantly to the socio-economic growth of the area.
Hon. Olowa reaffirmed his administration's commitment to initiatives that prioritize youth empowerment and community advancement, while Senator Abiru emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts in realizing these transformative projects.
