SCOAN Set for Global Thanksgiving Service to Celebrate God’s Faithfulness

Lagos, Nigeria – The Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN) is set to celebrate God’s faithfulness in a grand style this Sunday, December 8, with its Global Thanksgiving Service at its headquarters in Ikotun-Egbe, Lagos. The event, which marks the third edition of this annual celebration, will also hold simultaneously across continents where members and Emmanuel TV Partners will gather to honor God.

The Thanksgiving Service provides SCOAN and its members with an opportunity to reflect on the church’s remarkable journey and express gratitude for God’s unfailing grace. The church has faced numerous challenges in recent years, from the prolonged closure during the COVID-19 pandemic to the unexpected passing of its founder, Prophet TB Joshua, yet it continues to flourish under the leadership of Pastor Evelyn Joshua.

A Testimony of Resilience and Faith

During the COVID-19 pandemic, SCOAN remained closed even after other churches reopened, a decision Prophet TB Joshua attributed to divine guidance. His statement, "I will not reopen the church until I hear from God," demonstrated his commitment to prioritizing public health and divine direction. Tragically, just as the world began emerging from the pandemic, Prophet TB Joshua passed away, leaving many to speculate about the church's future.

Despite the loss, SCOAN has not only survived but thrived, standing as a testament to God’s faithfulness. The church’s mantle of leadership was passed to Pastor Evelyn Joshua, who has proven herself as a woman of unwavering faith, resilience, and wisdom. Her leadership has upheld the church’s legacy while steering it toward new heights.

Evelyn Joshua: A Visionary Leader

Described as a woman of grace and spiritual depth, Pastor Evelyn Joshua has seamlessly stepped into her late husband’s shoes. Under her leadership, SCOAN has expanded its reach through international crusades, charity initiatives, and spiritual conferences. Notable achievements include:

Reopening the Akure branch, which had been inactive for years.
Hosting crusades and partner meetings in Ghana, South Africa, Zambia, Spain, Kenya, and Argentina.
Launching the Women of Grace Conference to empower women and the International Youth Conference to inspire a brighter future for young people.
Organizing charity initiatives and distributing anointing water in various countries.

Evelyn Joshua’s commitment to spiritual growth has also led to the introduction of dedicated prayer sessions at the TB Joshua Prayer Mountain, enriching the spiritual lives of church members.

Celebrating God’s Faithfulness

Speaking on the upcoming Thanksgiving Service, Pastor Evelyn Joshua expressed her gratitude for God’s blessings upon the church.

“We are overwhelmed with gratitude for all that God has done for SCOAN. His faithfulness has brought healing, deliverance, blessings, and salvation to countless lives. We are celebrating His unfailing goodness,” she said.

The Thanksgiving Service will be preceded by a Healing and Deliverance Service on Friday, a unique gathering expected to draw participants from across the country and beyond.

In the three years since reopening, SCOAN has continued to grow, touching lives and spreading the gospel across the globe. Pastor Evelyn Joshua has tenaciously upheld the legacy of her late husband, ensuring that the church remains a beacon of hope and faith.
