AIG Fayoade Advocates Partnership and Professionalism in Policing
The Zone 2 Command Headquarters in Onikan, Lagos, held its first lecture of the year on Friday, January 10, 2025, under the leadership of Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) Fayoade M. Adegoke, mni, psc.
Addressing officers during the session, AIG Fayoade extended New Year wishes while emphasizing the importance of public partnership, professionalism, quality service delivery, and impactful policing. He urged the officers to improve the public perception of the Nigeria Police Force by fostering stronger collaborations with communities and enhancing intelligence-based operations to curb crime effectively.
The AIG stressed the importance of fairness in law enforcement, reminding officers that all citizens are equal before the law and should be treated with empathy and impartiality. He highlighted the need for officers to remain unbiased in the discharge of their duties to ensure justice and equity in society.
In a bid to promote efficiency, AIG Fayoade encouraged personnel to prioritize their health, noting that physical and mental well-being are crucial to delivering effective and professional policing services.
The lecture sets the tone for a proactive and citizen-focused approach to law enforcement in the Zone 2 Command as officers prepare for the challenges of the year ahead.
