AIG FCID Annex Lagos Hosts NDLEA Deputy Director of Operations and Investigation

The Assistant Inspector General (AIG) of Police, FCID Annex Lagos, AIG Augustina N. Ogbodo, psc, on Tuesday, January 16, 2025, received the Deputy Director of Operations and Investigation at the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), ACGN Archie-Abia Ibinabo O., FSI, JP, and her team during a courtesy visit to the FCID Annex, Alagbon, Lagos.


During the visit, ACGN Ibinabo introduced herself and her management team while emphasizing the importance of continued collaboration between the Nigeria Police Force and the NDLEA. She highlighted that tackling drug-related crimes is crucial to reducing overall criminal activity and raising public awareness about the dangers of drug abuse. 


She also proposed a joint training program aimed at fostering inter-agency cooperation to create a peaceful, crime-free society. Furthermore, ACGN Ibinabo expressed her appreciation for the swift and effective responses of the FCID Annex and the INTERPOL section in combating crime.


In her remarks, AIG Augustina N. Ogbodo welcomed ACGN Ibinabo and her entourage, describing the visit as a thoughtful gesture. She acknowledged the indispensable synergy between the police and the NDLEA, noting that drug-related offences often fall under the purview of the FCID, which serves as the apex investigative body of the Nigeria Police Force. AIG Ogbodo reiterated the core mission of the police to ensure peace and order and lauded the NDLEA’s critical role in this shared goal. She assured the NDLEA of the FCID Annex Lagos’ unwavering support in all collaborative efforts.


The courtesy visit was capped off with an exchange of souvenirs and a photo session, symbolizing the strengthened partnership between the two security agencies.
