Anambra Executive Council Reaffirms Commitment to Development at 2025 Retreat
The Anambra State Executive Council (ANSEC) has reiterated its dedication to advancing Governor Charles Soludo's development agenda during its 2025 retreat.
Themed "Changing Gear—Accelerating the Execution of the Solution Agenda in 2025," the retreat was held on January 13, 2025, at the International Convention Centre in Awka, bringing together ANSEC members, Mayors of the 21 Local Government Areas, and key stakeholders to chart the course for the year ahead.
In a statement by the Commissioner for Information, Law Mefor, Governor Soludo delivered a detailed review of his administration's progress, showcasing significant achievements while identifying areas for improvement. He emphasized the need for collaboration among stakeholders to drive the state's development further.
The retreat featured extensive discussions on critical sectors such as education, healthcare, infrastructure, and economic growth, with actionable solutions proposed to address challenges and harness opportunities for sustainable development.
A major highlight of the retreat was the focus on security. Plans were finalized for the launch of a new state security initiative, codenamed ‘Operation Udo Ga-Achi’ (Operation Peace Shall Reign), scheduled to commence in January 2025.
Speaking on the initiative, Governor Soludo described ‘Operation Udo Ga-Achi’ as a turning point in Anambra's security strategy. The program will adopt a comprehensive approach, including community policing, intelligence gathering, and strategic partnerships with relevant stakeholders, to ensure the safety of lives and property across the state.
The retreat underscores Governor Soludo’s administration’s commitment to building on its successes and delivering on the Solution Agenda in 2025, with a renewed focus on security, governance, and development.
