Hon. Olowa Signs 2025 Appropriation Bill Into Law: A Budget for Growth and Innovation

The Executive Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government, Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa, has officially signed the 2025 Appropriation Bill into law, marking a significant milestone in the council's commitment to fostering economic growth and innovation.

The signing ceremony, held on Tuesday, January 9, 2025, was attended by key members of the legislative arm, including Deputy Leader Hon. Musibau Shuaib, Majority Leader Hon. Aromire Razak Abidemi, Hon. Babatunde Ogungbo, Hon. Al-Mubaraq Olamilekan Higara, and Hon. Shefiu Ajiwole.


In his remarks, Hon. Olowa commended the legislative arm for their diligence in promptly approving and passing the budget. He assured stakeholders that the 2025 budget, themed "Budget of Growth and Innovation," would be implemented to its fullest, emphasizing its potential to drive economic prosperity, create employment opportunities, and improve the overall standard of living in Ibeju-Lekki.

The event was also graced by senior council officials, including the Supervisor for Budget, Hon. Akeem Balogun, Council Manager Mr. Abiodun Oladipupo Otinwa, Council Treasurer Mrs. Osun Shakirat Yetunde-Abiodun, Clerk of the Council Mrs. Balogun Adefala, and Head of Budget Department Mrs. Aderonke Dada. Legislative staff members such as Mr. Ahmed Adebanjo, Mrs. Fatimo Shonaike, and Mrs. Badmus were also in attendance.


Speaking on behalf of the council, Hon. Olowa reaffirmed his administration's commitment to transparency, accountability, and impactful governance, assuring residents that the 2025 budget would serve as a catalyst for sustainable development in the local government area.
