Ibeju High School Alumni Holds Annual Reunion, Hon. Olowa Lauds Association's Commitment

The Ibeju High School Alumni Association held its annual reunion yesterday at the Ibeju Agbe High School premises, drawing members from various sets and distinguished guests. Among the special attendees was the Executive Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government, Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa, who praised the alumni for their unwavering dedication to preserving the legacy of their alma mater.

In his address, Hon. Olowa commended the association for staying focused on its mission and urged members to maintain their commitment, noting that "the sky is just the beginning." He acknowledged their efforts in keeping the memories of Ibeju High School alive while emphasizing the importance of unity in achieving shared goals.


The Chairman also provided an update on the achievements of his administration, particularly in the education sector. He highlighted significant infrastructure developments across the 28 primary schools in the local government area, as well as student capacity-building initiatives, such as the partnership with Pan-Atlantic University (PAU). He assured attendees that Ibeju High School would receive special attention in 2025, alongside other schools in coastal communities, as part of ongoing development plans.


The President of the Ibeju High School Alumni Association, Mr. Akeem Adewale Balogun, expressed gratitude to Hon. Olowa for his past support, particularly regarding infrastructure upgrades and timely interventions. He lauded the Chairman’s relentless efforts in advancing the local government and prayed for his continued success.

Hon. Olugbenga Kazeem Balogun, while delivering the vote of thanks, acknowledged Hon. Olowa’s open-door policy and consistent support for the alumni's initiatives. He described the Chairman as a beacon of progress for the local government and prayed for divine guidance for his administration.


The alumni association, which consists of members from the 1982 set to the present, aims to support the growth and success of Ibeju High School. The annual reunion serves as a platform for fostering collaboration and strengthening ties among members.

The event was graced by several dignitaries, including the Member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Bayo Balogun (represented by Hon. Shamsudeen Elemoro), the Secretary to the Local Government, Hon. Adewale Adebanjo, Supervisor for Education, Hon. Ogungbo Temitope Sofwan, Special Adviser on Chieftaincy and Inter-Boundary Affairs, Hon. Aliasau Oladehinde, Majority Leader, Hon. Aromire Abidemi Razaq, APC Woman Leader, Alhaja Mobi Raji, CDC Chairman, Comrade Adeboye Jabita, and others.


The reunion reinforced the association's commitment to promoting the welfare of their alma mater and ensuring its continued relevance in the community.
