Ikenga Community Leaders Hail Soludo for 10.95km Road Project

Aguata, Anambra State – Community leaders in Ikenga, Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State, have commended Governor Charles Soludo for his commitment to infrastructure development following the completion of a 10.95-kilometer road connecting Igboukwu, Ikenga, Ekwulobia, and Ezinifite communities.

Describing the project as a milestone, the leaders praised the governor’s vision for economic and infrastructural transformation, as outlined in the state's 2025 budget. They noted that the road would significantly enhance the movement of goods and services while boosting economic activities in the region.

Speaking on behalf of the community, Izuchukwu Uzor lauded Soludo’s intervention, stating, "Governor Soludo’s solution has finally reached our community, bringing much-needed transformation to Aguata Local Government."

This newly constructed road is the first-ever tarred road in Ikenga since the community’s creation, a testament to Soludo’s dedication to grassroots development under the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).

Anambra’s Expanding Road Network

Governor Soludo reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to road infrastructure, emphasizing that both ongoing and new projects would receive priority. He highlighted that within 30 months, approximately 310 kilometers of roads have been asphalted across the state, all built to high-quality standards.

Key infrastructure projects nearing completion include:

• The Ekwulobia flyover and bus terminal
• The dualization of the 34-kilometer federal highway from Amawbia through Agulu, Ekwulobia, and Uga to the Imo State border
• The dualization of a 36-kilometer road linking Nwagu Agulu, Nnobi, Nnewi, Ozubulu, and Okija to the Onitsha-Owerri highway

The Soludo administration continues to prioritize strategic road construction aimed at improving connectivity between communities and across Anambra’s 21 Local Government Areas.

The Ikenga community leaders expressed gratitude for the governor’s intervention, acknowledging its impact on their daily lives and economic prospects.
