Pan Atlantic University Holds 2025 Matriculation Ceremony, Applauds Ibeju-Lekki LG for Educational Support
The Pan Atlantic University (PAU) today held its 2025 matriculation ceremony, welcoming new students to the prestigious institution. The event was graced by the Executive Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government, Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa, who was ably represented by the Supervisor for Education, Hon. Ogungbo Temitope Sofwan.
In her welcome address, the Vice Chancellor of PAU, Mrs. Enase Okonedo, highlighted the fruitful collaboration between the university and the Ibeju-Lekki Local Government. She described the partnership as a significant initiative that has yielded positive outcomes for students from public secondary schools in the area.
Mrs. Okonedo commended Hon. Olowa for his unwavering commitment to education, particularly the introduction of weekend lessons that have consistently run for three years. She noted that this initiative has directly benefited students, with four of them securing scholarships to study at PAU.
The scholarship recipients for 2025 are:
- Adeyemi Joshua Akorede from Ibeju Senior High School, studying Mechatronics Engineering
- Samuel Joy Ugochi from Ibeju Senior High School, studying Mass Communication
- Afolabi Boluwatife from Iwerekun Community Senior Secondary School, studying Film and Multimedia Studies
- Taiwo Olamide Cornelius from Iwerekun Community Senior Secondary School, studying Finance
The Vice Chancellor expressed gratitude to the Ibeju-Lekki Local Government for its dedication to fostering academic excellence and supporting the educational aspirations of local students. She encouraged the beneficiaries to make the most of this opportunity and contribute positively to society.
This partnership continues to underline the importance of collaboration between public institutions and private organizations in shaping the future of education in Nigeria.
