Presidency Names Nigeria Police Force Most Improved Service Delivery Parastatal of 2024
The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has been recognized as the Most Improved Service Delivery Parastatal (SERVICOM Unit) in Nigeria for the year 2024. The prestigious award was presented to the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, Ph.D., NPM, on January 14, 2025, by the National Coordinator/CEO of SERVICOM, Mrs. Nnena Akajemeli, at an event in Abuja.
The award celebrates the strides made by the NPF in enhancing service delivery through its customer-focused work plan and commitment to its service charter. Speaking at the ceremony, Mrs. Akajemeli lauded the Force's remarkable progress in 2024, noting its dedication to touching the lives of Nigerians through improved and professional policing services. She emphasized that the recognition was earned on merit.
In his acceptance speech, IGP Egbetokun expressed gratitude to SERVICOM under the Presidency for acknowledging the efforts of the Nigeria Police Force. He commended the dedication and hard work of officers and personnel, describing the award as a testament to their relentless commitment to improving the Force's service delivery.
“The Nigeria Police Force remains steadfast in its mission to serve the public with the utmost professionalism and dedication. This recognition fuels our commitment to continue enhancing our service delivery and fostering stronger collaboration with the public to ensure a safer Nigeria,” the IGP stated.
The Inspector-General also urged Nigerians to support the Force by staying vigilant and reporting any suspicious activities that may threaten national security.
This recognition reaffirms the NPF’s efforts to rebuild public trust and deliver efficient, professional policing services across the country. The Force is committed to sustaining its progress and building a safer and more secure environment for all Nigerians.
