Anambra Government Mourns Hon. Justice Azuka, Commends Operation Udo Ga-Achi for Apprehending Culprits

The Anambra State Government has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Hon. Justice Azuka, a member of the Anambra State House of Assembly representing Onitsha North State Constituency I.

In an official statement, the government extended condolences to the Speaker and members of the State Assembly, the late lawmaker’s family, and his constituents, praying for God to grant his soul eternal rest.

The Commissioner for Information, Law Mefor, PhD, praised the swift response of security agencies in tracking down and apprehending those responsible for Azuka’s death. He noted that the prompt arrests highlight Governor Charles Soludo’s unwavering commitment to public safety and the effectiveness of the newly launched security outfit, Operation Udo Ga-Achi, which has recorded significant successes since its inauguration on January 18, 2025.

The state government further assured that swift legal action would be taken against the perpetrators and their accomplices. It also reiterated its call for citizens to support government and security agencies in their efforts to maintain a crime-free and secure Anambra.
