A groundbreaking discovery in pancreatic cancer research has emerged, fulfilling one of the prophecies of Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG).

Speaking at the RCCG January Holy Ghost Service on January 3, 2025, in Shimawa, Ogun State, Pastor Adeboye had prophesied that 2025 would be a “landmark year” and that a major scientific breakthrough would occur. By targeting cancer stem cells within tumors, the team found that reducing CD9 levels led to smaller tumors, while increasing CD9 levels accelerated cancer progression. Further investigations revealed that CD9 helps cancer cells absorb glutamine, a key nutrient that fuels their rapid growth.

This discovery offers a potential new treatment strategy—blocking CD9 to disrupt the energy supply of cancer cells and slow tumor progression. While clinical application will take time, scientists believe this could revolutionize pancreatic cancer treatment and improve patient survival rates.
