Governor Soludo Completes 2.62km Bank Road in Nnewi, Advances Urban Renewal Efforts

Anambra State Governor, Prof. Charles Soludo, has completed the construction of the 2.62-kilometer Bank Road in Nnewi, connecting St. Mary's Cathedral Church in Uruagu Nnewi. The project is part of his administration's broader urban regeneration plan aimed at improving infrastructure across the state.

The newly rehabilitated road, previously in a deplorable condition, has been fully asphalted, with streetlights installed to enhance nighttime visibility. Road markings have also been added to improve traffic flow and safety.

In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Christian Aburime, Governor Soludo reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to making Anambra the "Japan of Africa" by fostering infrastructural development that drives business growth and economic expansion.

Beyond Nnewi, Soludo's urban renewal agenda is transforming Ekwulobia into a modern city. A newly constructed flyover has significantly eased traffic congestion and improved access for local businesses. The government has also embarked on major road projects, including the Nanka-Ekwulobia-Aguata Council Headquarters' 2km road and the 1.125km Ekwulobia-Isuofia road, along with other key infrastructural upgrades.

The ongoing development in Ekwulobia includes the construction of a modern bus terminal, a fuel station, a security office, a fire station, and essential facilities such as drainage, sewage treatment, and landscaping. Additionally, plans are in place for an ultra-modern market with a motor park, sports and recreational centers, and spaces for cultural and international events.

Governor Soludo's administration continues to prioritize infrastructural renewal, ensuring Anambra remains a thriving hub for commerce and investment.
