Hon. Olowa Attends Stakeholders’ Meeting on Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway, Commends President Tinubu

Lagos, Nigeria – The Executive Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government, Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa, participated in a stakeholders' meeting on the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway, Section 2, covering Eleko to Ode Omi. The meeting, which took place earlier today, brought together key stakeholders to discuss the progress of the ambitious infrastructure project.

The session featured an address by the Honorable Minister of Works, Senator Dave Umahi, who provided crucial updates on the highway’s development and other ongoing road projects across the country. The interactive session allowed participants to gain insights into the project’s execution and its impact on local communities and businesses.


During the meeting, Hon. Olowa expressed his profound appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Minister Umahi for their commitment to the successful execution of the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway. He highlighted how the project has effectively minimized disruptions to residents and businesses in the affected areas.

Hon. Olowa further assured the Minister that Lagos State and the Southwest region would support President Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027, acknowledging the administration’s dedication to infrastructural transformation.

Additionally, the meeting provided an opportunity for Hon. Olowa to engage with the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Community Engagement, Ms. Moremi Ojodu. Their discussions focused on key community-driven projects and initiatives aimed at fostering development and improving the lives of residents in Ibeju-Lekki.


The Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway remains a landmark project set to enhance connectivity, boost economic activities, and improve transportation networks along Nigeria’s coastal corridor.
