Soludo Completes Long-Abandoned 16.5km Nza Ozubulu-Ukpor Road, Earns Community Praise

Governor Charles Soludo has successfully completed the 16.5km Nza Ozubulu-Ukpor Road in Ekwusigo Local Government Area of Anambra State, addressing a long-standing erosion issue that had plagued the community for years.

The road project, abandoned by previous administrations, has now been delivered under Soludo’s leadership, earning him widespread commendation from community leaders who describe him as a "Solution Governor" committed to fulfilling his promises.

One of the community leaders, Ugochukwu Eze, highlighted that past administrations repeatedly used the road as a campaign promise without any concrete action.

"Other governments campaigned with this road but did nothing after elections. Governor Soludo, however, made a promise and has delivered it. We are happy to have a leader who keeps his word," Eze stated.

He also noted that, prior to the road's completion, the area was a hotspot for armed robberies, making movement difficult. However, with the new development, security has improved, and the road now serves as a vital link between Anambra and Imo State, benefiting both commuters and commercial drivers.

"This road was once dangerous, occupied by criminals, but now people travel freely. Commercial drivers now ply this route to various destinations. We commend the Solution Governor for this achievement," Eze added.

The Nza Ozubulu-Ukpor Road is among several road projects recently delivered by Governor Soludo. Others include the 2.8km Nawfia Road in Njikoka Local Government Area, which connects the Awka-Onitsha Old Road to the Awka-Onitsha Expressway, and the newly constructed 2.62km Bank Road in Nnewi, linking to St. Mary's Cathedral Church in Uruagu Nnewi.

Anambra State Commissioner for Information, Law Mefor, emphasized that these projects are part of Governor Soludo’s broader infrastructural development agenda aimed at transforming Anambra into a state where people can "live, invest, learn, work, relax, and enjoy."
