60 Support Groups Back Soludo’s Second Term, Donate N30 Million for Re-election Campaign
Awka, April 4, 2025 —
In a powerful show of support, 60 pro-Soludo groups under the umbrella of the All Soludo Support Groups (ASSG) have officially endorsed Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo for a second term in office.
The solidarity rally, held at the International Convention Centre in Awka, witnessed a large turnout of over 120,000 members. As a mark of commitment, the groups presented a donation of N30 million towards the governor’s re-election campaign.
Governor Soludo, visibly moved by the overwhelming gesture, acknowledged a growing consensus across the state urging him to continue his leadership. He said stakeholders from communities, youth groups, students, and the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) had all expressed strong support for his re-election bid.
According to his Chief Press Secretary, Christian Aburime, the governor attributed the massive grassroots support to his administration's developmental strides. He noted that ongoing infrastructure projects and transformation initiatives have repositioned Anambra State as a thriving hub for business and peaceful living.
“I am deeply humbled by this show of faith,” Governor Soludo said. “We remain committed to our vision of One State, One People, One Agenda, where the welfare of Ndi Anambra remains our top priority.”
Speaking on behalf of the support groups, ASSG Coordinator Chinedu Nwoye praised the governor’s achievements in office. He reaffirmed their readiness to work tirelessly toward actualizing Soludo’s re-election, stating that “voting for Soludo was not a mistake, and he deserves to continue the good work.”
This endorsement follows a similar move by Anambra students who recently contributed N2 million in support of the governor’s campaign. In addition, the Soludo Vanguard, a grassroots movement, has intensified its mobilization efforts across the state in preparation for the upcoming election.
With growing momentum across diverse sectors, Governor Soludo’s second-term bid continues to gather significant political support in Anambra State.
