Mayor Olowa Conferred with Fellowship of Lagos State Cooperative College
Lagos | May 14, 2025 — The Executive Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government, Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa, has been conferred with the prestigious title of Fellow of the Lagos State Cooperative College (FLCC) in recognition of his significant contributions to the institution’s growth and youth empowerment initiatives within the local government.
The conferment ceremony, held at the Cooperative College, saw Hon. Olowa honored by the Lagos State Government through the Honourable Commissioner for Commerce, Cooperative, Trade and Investment, Mrs. Folashade Ambrose-Medebem, who represented Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
A major highlight of the event was the recognition of Miss Ahmed Abike, the overall best graduating student and a proud beneficiary of the Ibeju-Lekki Local Government scholarship scheme. Her success is a testament to the free education policy of the Olowa-led administration, which continues to receive commendation across the state for its impact on youth development and access to quality education.
Other notable recipients of the FLCC Fellowship included Hon. Oladele Ajayi, Member of the Lagos State House of Assembly (Ibeju-Lekki Constituency II); Mr. Samuel Egube, Deputy Chief of Staff to the Lagos State Governor; Engr. Razak Kasali, Chairman of Lekki LCDA; and Professor Olanrewaju Fagbohun, former Vice Chancellor of Lagos State University.
The honor further solidifies Mayor Olowa’s reputation as a visionary and dedicated leader committed to sustainable development and human capital investment in Ibeju-Lekki.
