Soludo Empowers Over 30,000 Anambra Youths Through Digital Innovation Programmes

In a bold push toward economic empowerment and digital transformation, over 30,000 young people in Anambra State have benefitted from Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo’s digital training initiatives under the Solution Innovation District (SID).

Governor Soludo’s administration has launched multiple youth-focused programmes—including the One-Youth-Two-Skill initiative, Code Anambra, and the One Million Digital Tribe—to equip the next generation with relevant technological and entrepreneurial skills. Many graduates of these programmes have received laptops, start-up support, and job placements, marking a significant step in the state’s drive toward digital economic inclusion.

The impact of these programmes was showcased at the recent “Voices of Ndi Anambra” event, where beneficiaries shared inspiring testimonies of how the training transformed their lives.

Dibor Mary-Ann, a beneficiary trained in Digital Marketing and SEO, recounted how the free training programme—valued at nearly N3 million—helped her secure employment with the Ministry of Industries.

“I started the training in 2023 and was taught the fundamentals of digital marketing and how to monetize my skills. After the training, I was employed by the Ministry. That was my dream job, and it saved me the struggle of job hunting after school,” she said.

Another participant, Emmanuel Ekwuya, an undergraduate, described the initiative as life-changing.

“Before, I was just attending short tech programmes. But through SID, I was taught how to build a business that can scale globally. Governor Soludo has put in place the facilities and structure needed for a thriving tech ecosystem,” he said.

Ekwuya also lauded the governor for his hands-on commitment to digital empowerment. “He’s touching every part of the training, and the impact is already being felt across the state,” he added.

Other beneficiaries, including Uchechukwu Ebonam and Ofona Akansi, also praised the governor’s vision, noting that the SID programme is ushering in a new era of technological advancement and innovation for Anambra youths.

Speaking on the programme’s long-term vision, the State Commissioner for Information, Dr. Law Mefor, said Governor Soludo’s investment in digital transformation is a cornerstone of his human capital development agenda.

“Through these initiatives, we are building a future-ready workforce in Anambra. The success stories we are witnessing today are only the beginning,” Mefor said.

As the state continues to position itself as a hub for innovation and tech-driven development, the Solution Innovation District is rapidly becoming a beacon of opportunity for youth across Anambra and beyond.
