Anambra North Endorses Soludo for Second Term, Hails Transformational Leadership
Awka, Nigeria – June 26, 2025
Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo’s bid for a second term received a significant boost over the weekend as stakeholders from Anambra North Senatorial Zone officially endorsed his re-election, describing his leadership as transformative and results-driven.
The endorsement, which took place during a grand solidarity rally attended by over 10,000 supporters across the zone’s seven local government areas, was highlighted by the conferment of the prestigious Oluatuegwu chieftaincy title on the Governor—a symbolic mark of honour and acceptance by the people.
According to Mr. Christian Aburime, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, the event demonstrated an unprecedented show of bipartisan support, with leaders and stakeholders from both the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) acknowledging Governor Soludo’s performance and leadership style.
“This rally was not just a political gathering; it was a clear testament to Governor Soludo’s capacity, integrity, and results in office,” Aburime stated. “When opposition party leaders and grassroots stakeholders come together to support an incumbent, it speaks volumes about his credibility and the impact of his administration.”
Themed "Sustaining The Solution Legacy: A Path To Disruptive Development In Anambra State," the rally emphasized continuity and commitment to the governor’s development agenda, popularly known as the Solution Mandate.
Stakeholders praised Soludo’s achievements in infrastructure development, education, digital economy, youth empowerment, and public service reforms, asserting that he was fully prepared for leadership and had lived up to expectations.
Aburime noted that the enthusiastic participation from traditional rulers, former public officeholders, and youth leaders signifies a rare unity of purpose in the state’s usually divided political environment.
“Calls from stakeholders that Soludo must complete his second term reflect not only political endorsement but a strong desire for stability and sustained progress in Anambra State,” he added.
The overwhelming turnout and vocal backing from all corners of Anambra North, especially from grassroots structures, positions the governor as a formidable contender ahead of the 2025 election, further reinforcing his broad-based appeal.
“The endorsement rally has set a clear tone for the future,” Aburime said. “It was a powerful reaffirmation of trust, unity, and hope for continued good governance under Governor Soludo.”
