ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! STOP THE BENUE KILLINGS.
The blood of our people must no longer water the soil of a silent nation.
I speak not just as a student, not just as a young woman, but as a witness to a country that has learned to scroll past pain.
Benue bleeds — and we must no longer look away.
These killings are not just numbers; they are names.
They are mothers — like the one pictured here — whose tears have become her language.
They are children — wide‑eyed and frightened, robbed of their innocence.
Nigeria, the perceived giant of Africa, has murdered sleep. From Maiduguri to Jos, Jos to Jalingo, Jalingo to Benue, Benue to Enugu, Enugu to Katsina, Katsina to Owo — across the length and breadth of our dear country — one vicious enemy ravages every corner, destroying lives and burning homes.
We grew up as citizens of a super nation, with a gallant military force that stood as the big brother of Africa, restoring peace to troubled nations like Sierra Leone and Liberia.
But today? We cry, and no one hears. We are hunted down by bandits and foreign elements, and our nation turns a blind eye. Are we completely helpless?
We can no longer pretend this is normal.
We can no longer remain numb.
We must demand accountability. We must demand justice.
And above all, we must demand peace.
From the hearts of students to the ears of leaders:
Hear us. See us. Act now.
It’s about what we choose to tolerate.
And I choose to say: Never again!
