Sanwo-Olu at 60: Ibeju-Lekki Chairman Hails Governor’s Legacy, Leadership

As Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, celebrates his 60th birthday, the Executive Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government, Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa, has joined well-wishers across the state and beyond to honour the milestone, describing the Governor as a visionary leader and beacon of transformative governance.

In a statement issued on behalf of the Executive, Legislature, Management, and the people of Ibeju-Lekki, Hon. Olowa commended the Governor for his remarkable leadership and people-focused policies, noting that Sanwo-Olu’s diamond jubilee represents a lifetime of impact, commitment, and service to humanity.

“Your Excellency, we do not merely celebrate your age; we celebrate your accomplishments, legacies, and the countless lives you’ve touched,” Olowa stated. “You are a reformer, a visionary, and a symbol of humility and excellence in leadership.”

Highlighting the Governor’s achievements under the THEMES+ development agenda, the Ibeju-Lekki Chairman praised Sanwo-Olu for redefining governance in Lagos with his strides in infrastructure, education, health, technology, and human capital development.

“For us in Ibeju-Lekki, your leadership has had a direct and personal impact,” Olowa said. “We are deeply grateful for the strategic infrastructural developments, particularly in roads and education, that your administration has supported within our local government.”

He further expressed appreciation for the Governor’s presence at a recent commissioning ceremony in Ibeju-Lekki, describing it as a powerful reaffirmation of Sanwo-Olu’s commitment to inclusive governance and the upliftment of grassroots communities.

“Your empathy, accessibility, and unwavering belief in people-first leadership are the hallmarks of a true statesman,” he added.

As the Governor marks his 60th birthday, Hon. Olowa offered prayers for continued strength, divine wisdom, and enduring legacy.

Governor Sanwo-Olu, who clocks 60 on June 25, 2025, is serving his second term as Lagos State Governor, with his administration widely lauded for its infrastructural renewal and progressive reforms across various sectors.
