Comrade Akeem Olalekan Dauda Set for Swearing-In as Ikeja LG Chairman

All is set for the official swearing-in of Comrade Akeem Olalekan Dauda (popularly known as AKOD) as the duly elected Chairman of Ikeja Local Government, following his victory in the Lagos State Local Government elections held on Saturday, July 12, 2025.

The swearing-in ceremony, which will be presided over by the Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, is scheduled to take place on Sunday, July 27, 2025, at the Governor’s Office in Alausa, Ikeja. The event is expected to draw dignitaries from across the state, including members of the Governor’s Advisory Council (GAC), top government officials, traditional rulers, political leaders, elected vice chairmen, and other well-wishers.
