Hon. Olowa Meets Mayfair Gardens Residents, Pledges Inclusive Governance if Re-Elected

As part of ongoing consultations ahead of the July 12 local government elections, the Executive Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government, Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa, has met with residents and stakeholders of Mayfair Gardens Estate, where he reaffirmed his commitment to inclusive governance and sustainable development if given a second term in office.

Accompanied by key members of his team—including the Secretary to the Local Government, Hon. Adewale Adebanjo; Director-General of the Campaign Organization, Hon. Babatunde Quadri Idogun; former Lagos State House of Assembly Member, Hon. Adewale Raheem Kazeem; and APC Local Government Chairman, Hon. Babatunde Aliasau Eletu—Hon. Olowa received a warm reception from the estate community during the visit.

In his remarks, Hon. Olowa expressed gratitude for the warm hospitality and reflected on his administration’s efforts to bridge the gap between government and the governed since assuming office in 2021. He emphasized that under his leadership, Ibeju-Lekki has witnessed significant transformation and positioned itself as a safe and viable destination for future investments.

Highlighting the importance of the upcoming polls, Hon. Olowa called on the residents to make their voices heard through their votes. He noted that a high voter turnout would strengthen the council’s position in negotiating for greater dividends of democracy.

He also shared highlights of his administration’s achievements over the past three years and introduced his development roadmap under the S.H.I.E.E.L.D agenda, promising more impactful projects in the next dispensation.

Director-General of the Campaign Organization, Hon. Babatunde Quadri Idogun, echoed the Chairman’s message and praised Hon. Olowa for his visionary leadership and dedication. “He is an intelligent leader with a strong focus,” Idogun said, urging residents to continue their support.

Speaking on behalf of the estate community, Mayfair Gardens Estate Chairman, Mr. John, commended the Council Chairman for his performance, noting visible improvements in the local government. He assured that the residents of Mayfair Gardens would continue to stand by the administration.

Also in attendance were the APC Local Government Woman Leader, Alhaja Mobi Raji, and the Councillorship Candidate for Ward E (Iwerekun I), Zainab Ayobola Eletu.
