Ibeju-Lekki Chairman, Sesan Olowa, Emerges Chairman of Conference 57 League
The Executive Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government, Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa, has been elected as the Chairman of Chairmen for the Conference 57 League of Local Government Chairmen in Lagos State.
His emergence was confirmed shortly after the official swearing-in ceremony of newly elected Local Government Chairmen across the state, conducted by Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu.
In the same development, Prince Usman Akanbi Hamzat, the Executive Chairman of Ifako-Ijaiye Local Government, was announced as the Secretary of the Conference.
The election of Hon. Olowa is seen as a vote of confidence in his leadership abilities and commitment to grassroots governance. His new role positions him as the coordinating figure among the 57 Council Chairmen in the state, tasked with strengthening inter-council collaboration and representing the collective interests of the councils.
Speaking on the development, Chief Press Secretary to the Ibeju-Lekki Chairman, Mr. Akadiri Ayorinde, described Olowa’s emergence as “the beginning of new things to come” for both Ibeju-Lekki and the Conference of Local Government Chairmen.
The Conference 57 League plays a key role in driving grassroots development policies in alignment with the broader vision of the Lagos State Government.
