Inter-Party Affairs Directorate Urges Massive Support for APC in Lagos LG Elections
Lagos, July 10, 2025 — As the July 12 local government elections draw near, the Inter-Party Affairs Directorate of the Tinubu/Shettima–Sanwo-Olu/Hamzat Independent Campaign Council (ICC) has called on its members and all residents of Lagos State to come out en masse and vote for the All Progressives Congress (APC) and its candidates.
In a joint statement issued by the Director of Inter-Party Affairs, Prince Adewale Samson, and Deputy Director, Shola Omolola, the leadership of the directorate urged members across the state to mobilize their friends, neighbours, relatives, and associates—including religious, ethnic, and market groups—to ensure overwhelming support for APC candidates at the polls.
According to the statement, voting for APC chairmanship and councillorship candidates is a vote for the continuity of the state’s developmental strides under the THEMES+ agenda of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s administration.
“There are consistent and impactful developmental programmes being implemented across Lagos under the APC government. Electing APC candidates at the local level will further strengthen the delivery of these initiatives,” the statement read.
The directorate also appealed to Lagosians to help reduce voter apathy by participating actively in Saturday’s elections, emphasizing that the grassroots leadership plays a critical role in sustaining governance outcomes in the state.
“Our goal is total victory for the APC across all local government areas. We are confident in the capacity of our candidates and the goodwill the party enjoys across the state,” the leaders added.
Expressing optimism, the directorate concluded by saying it looks forward to congratulating all successful APC chairmanship and councillorship candidates after the elections.
